Wang Daheng February 26, 1915 born native of Jiangsu Wuxian. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1936. He served Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun Branch president, director of Chinese Academy of Technological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Space Science and Technology Center, PLA General Armament Department of Science and Technology Advisory Committee, Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics Dean, Harbin University of Science and Technology, China Association for Science and Technology Vice Chairman of the Association of Science and Technology Beijing, China Optical Society, China Instrument Society, Chinese Society for Measurement, chairman of China’s high-tech Industrialization Association director and other staff.

Wang Daheng optics and optical engineering in research and leadership in the organization has made outstanding contributions to leadership development of China’s first large-scale precision optical tracking equipment range cinetheodolite, China’s first infrared laser theodolite and TV movies hull deformation measurement system for the development of China’s advanced weapons made outstanding contributions.

Wang Daheng vision, to think from a strategic height and in conjunction with other scientists made a number of national scientific and technological development of major proposals. He and other scientists to the research on tracking the recommendations of the strategic high-tech development, and finally a national “high-tech Research and Development Plan” (referred to as “863″), so as to achieve our scientific and technological development of high technology modernization is an important strategy deployment.
