newspaper Congo (DRC) Bukavu on June 8 Xinhua Xu, Wu Guoqiang report: United Nations Mission in Congo (Kinshasa) mission ( MONUC mission) in the morning in the Congo (DRC) city of Bukavu in eastern China’s peacekeeping force mission area at the ceremony, awarded to the Chinese ninth to Congo (Kinshasa) UN peacekeepers peacekeeping soldiers and 218 medals.
at the ceremony, the MONUC mission in eastern Seine Chief Executive praised the Chinese peacekeeping force to promote the Congo (DRC) made outstanding contributions to the peace process. He said: “The Chinese peacekeeping force with their own practical actions to improve the South Kivu region of the road infrastructure and medical conditions, today’s ceremony is important for your professionalism, humanitarian spirit, perseverance, and strict discipline of praise.”
China’s ninth batch of Congo (DRC) peacekeepers from the Lanzhou Military Region, is divided into two engineers and medical units, in October 2008, stationed in the mission area. Up to now, engineering unit has 63.8 km road repair, bridges 3, formation compaction venue 2.0197 million square meters; medical team treat sick and wounded more than 1,900 people total, 64 critically ill patients were successfully rescued.
