Pakistan Navy plans to buy 054-type frigates from China (Mainland)

Chinese naval equipment 054 526 Wenzhou-based missile frigate
The Navy Technology Network July 28, 2010 reported that Pakistan’s navy chief said that Pakistan Navy is planning to buy from China Type 054 frigate. Norman Admiral Bashir said that Pakistan Navy purchased from the Chinese F-22P frigates deeply satisfied with the performance and hopes to further strengthen cooperation with China.
054 model is the People’s Liberation Army Navy “Jiang Wei” and “Wild World” class frigate upgrades, a displacement of 4,000 tons, and its stealth features include tilt hull design, radar-absorbing materials and to reduce ship body external devices, including the two main weapons, Unit 4, sea-skimming anti-ship YJ-83 cruise missile launchers and an 8-cell HQ-7 air missile (the missile is the French “Sidewinder” (Crotale) missile modified) emission device. HQ-7 air missile system consists of eight missiles to be fired in the automatic handling and storage equipment in another 16 missiles. Type 054 frigate with a helicopter deck at the stern of ship, a 100 mm main gun and four AK-630 short-range defensive weapons systems turret.
